We should all strive to buy products made in the USA because every time we buy a product made somewhere else we are taking away jobs in the USA. I would much rather spend money in my country that is going to stay in my country and help my people.
ReplyDeleteIt's not always easy, but it's well worth the effort. Although, I have to add Canada to this, as there are many really good companies in Canada that I support!
DeleteI feel that US made products are generally safer.
ReplyDeleteUS and Canadian-made. Although, no matter what, you have to check ingredients!
DeleteBuying US products is important because we need to keep as many people as possible working.
ReplyDeleteWe've lost so many jobs to foreign outsourcing. I believe companies will start to take notice when we stop buying from them when they do that. We have to let them know that their choice is unacceptable to us.
DeleteI feel it's important to support Americans & to keep as many of us in the US employed. So many things made in China have come back with lead recalls & such.
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right! The recalls are scary!
DeleteI like to know that my money is supporting families and I feel that buying from small American companies does that. I buy Canadian as well, but Usually from WAHMs
ReplyDeleteI love buying from WAHMs, too!
DeleteBecause the US pays their workers more.
ReplyDeleteIn China they're paying them just pennies per hour. Here they get at least a minimum wage!
Good reason, Heather!
DeleteIt is important because it keeps US money in the US and supports our own economies!
ReplyDeleteI like supporting Americans and products made in the USA are generally much better quality than those made in China.
ReplyDeleteQuality is a real issue. When we pay more, something generally lasts longer, so it's a wise choice for the environment as well!
DeleteIt supports our people and our economy.
ReplyDeleteSure does :)
DeleteIt keeps the jobs local for our men and women. I also hate when they use and abuse workers in other countries and barely pay them.
ReplyDeleteGood reasons, indeed, Melanie!
DeleteI like to know that I am supporting fellow Americans, which also helps myself because it's helping the economy, and I get quality products.
ReplyDeleteIt goes full circle, doesn't it?
Deletebecause we should support our own first...our country is a larger family...we would try and support our own family before supporting another and the same should be said for our countrymen...
ReplyDeleteIf we kept the jobs here, we'd all be making enough to pitch in and help people in other countries anyway.
DeleteI prefer made in the USA to support our economy
ReplyDeleteAnd it really needs our help right now, doesn't it?!
DeleteIt's important to me because I know our work laws are a lot more strict than in other countries. Honestly, I don't care about providing jobs for our own or influencing our own economy (I mean, heck, I'm entering giveaways and getting these products free potentially - I'm not going to lie and act like I'm all about buying local in order to save jobs. Let's face it, the people overseas are struggling with jobs and their economies are struggling, too). I do know, though, that a lot of people overseas are working in terribly conditions. Kids are working, people are working long hours without breaks, and a lot of the jobs are truly dangerous. If I support local companies instead, I'm one less person buying from these companies putting their workers in danger. If everyone did that, they'd have to change their practices overseas and more people in our world would live happier, healthier lives.
ReplyDeleteEr, I shouldn't say our laws are more strict... What I really mean is more ethical!
DeleteI agree with not wanting to support companies with horrific work ethics ... especially when child labor is involved.
DeleteHelp support our economy!
ReplyDeleteAnd it needs it!
DeleteIt supports our country!
ReplyDeletehuntermb3 at gmail dot com
Sure does!
DeleteI like to know my neighbors have work!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI buy USA made because it keeps the money here in our country instead of supporting other countries (or it's SUPPOSED to work that way...but just look at our "American" car manufacturers!). We need to take care of our own before helping other countries!
ReplyDeleteWhen companies realize our loyalty to USA Made products, they just might start reopening the manufacturing plants in this country. What do you think?
DeleteI like to keep our economy booming! (well, get it back to that at least!)
ReplyDeleteThat would be nice.
Deletei try to buy local and usa made as much as possible as it is so important for our economy and builds a sense of community!
ReplyDeleteI like buying local as well.
DeleteBetter for all the workers. Molly Bussler
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering, Molly!
DeleteI trust products that are made in the USA because I know we have standards in place to protect us.
ReplyDeleteFor the most part, I agree with you, Krystal. But then I look at all the unsafe ingredients that are allowed in our products, but aren't allowed in other countries, so I begin to question that. I guess it depends on what you're buying.
DeleteMy family owns a small business, a candy (chocolate) shop and everything we use is from the USA. We pride ourselves on what we do and for our hometown feel and customers!
ReplyDeleteorangestar17@hotmail.com
I love shopping in hometown stores.
DeleteTo support OUR country!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering, Miranda! Good luck.
DeleteBuying products made in the USA means I don't have to worry about chemicals being used in products that are restricted, or limited in the US. Plus, it supports the country that I love! sonyadmorris@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteHowever, you still have to check the chemicals being used, because the U.S. guidelines are still allowing lots of toxins to be added to our cleaning and personal care products.
DeleteI love to support things made in the USA because it supports people that live her. I also enjoy buying these things locally if possible.
ReplyDeleteI love buying local!
DeleteI think they are safer. The recalls i hear about on the news, terrify me!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to keep up with all the recalls! FYI -- There is a tab at the top of the page for checking recalls.
DeleteI like buying us made because it allows me to support people who make things themselves and I get cooler things more unique things.
ReplyDeleteHandmade is especially cool!
DeleteBecause I lost the best job of my life, in manufacturing support, to jobs being sent out of the country. I know first hand how much the decision to have things made in another country affects American workers.
ReplyDeleteLisa Hackney
I'm so, so sorry, Lisa.
DeleteBecause not buying made in the USA has contributed to this recession / Depression we are in now. Think of how the USA was thriving before Outsourcing was popular. Made in the USA means Jobs for americans
ReplyDeletei like to buy things made in USA because we need jobs here too!
ReplyDeletebuying american products is important to me because the closer to home it is, the less pollution is being produced due to transportation
ReplyDeleteI buy American because I want to support American workers
ReplyDeleteIt is important to buy things made in your own country!
