It's been one heck of a week! Between my grandbaby being born on Tuesday and our having the lovely little Lady Laura staying with us since Monday, I haven't had the chance to get much work done.
That's why today's post is going to be super short.
I wrote about petroleum in distilled white vinegar awhile back, warning you that if you wanted to stay away from chemicals in your cleaning routine, you needed to be careful when it comes to buying distilled white vinegar for the task. Why? Because of the the petroleum in the vinegar.
However, there is another concern (of course!). GMOs. Since DWV is made from corn, the chances of your supporting the GMO giants, like Monsanto, are high every time to you pick up a bottle. This can be avoided if you stick to organic DWV, which, in my experience, is expensive and hard to find.
So, if you're looking to avoid petro in your vinegar, stick to brands like Heinz. But if you're more concerned about organic, then stock up on a brand like Spectrum when you stumble upon it. And be sure to let us know where you find it.
