NaBloPoMo... WHAT??

NaBloPoMo November 2012 This is NaBloPoMo (National Blog Post Month). While many of my writing buddies are tackling the much bigger NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), I chose a less ambitious path, committing to blogging every day throughout the month of November.

This put me in a bit of a dilemma, in that I usually take the weekends off, posting a quote on Saturday and nothing on Sunday. Well, this month will be a bit different.

Not wanting to give up my Weekend Quote tradition, I decided that on Saturdays I'll still post a quote, except it will be one of my own. I'll either come up with something new, or I'll dig through my old posts, poems, or fiction and pull out a relevant sentence or two. Sound good?

So here's my first Weekend Quote of NaBloPoMo:

God sometimes gives us passion for a season.
When the season passes,
so goes the enthusiasm for a task or a livelihood.
This is true for hobbies, for volunteer work,
even for careers.

But a loss of passion is never an excuse
to walk away from a marriage.
That kind of passion must be cultivated and cherished.
It is a gift.

  1. I think a blog post every day for a month sounds pretty ambitious! :) Yay for you! And thanks for the quote.
