Lately, I've been noticing some babywearing videos and commercials where the children are being carried forward facing. It always makes me cringe. There is a breastfeeding flash mob video out that shows moms dancing through a restaurant wearing babies like this and I just want to scream! Yesterday, I noticed a commercial (I don't remember the product) where a dad is babywearing the wrong way and has women practically falling all over him. Kind of like a single guy with a puppy. He's bound to attract some women!
The truth is, forward facing babies in carriers have no leg support and this can be damaging to their developing spines. I'm assuming that moms and dads who carry their babies this way do so because they don't know any better. So spread the word!
