Given that the soul is permanent/eternal and the earth is not, I can't agree with the implication here that environmentalism is just as important as salvation/evangelism.
ReplyDeleteBUT I definitely believe that good stewardship of the earth is far more important than most Christians seem to believe. The first task of man was to care for the earth. And our faith should affect EVERY area of our lives - including our stewardship of the resources we've been given.
I didn't read this as saying that environmentalism is just as important as salvation/evangelism... but it does get dismissed too easily as unimportant. If you click on the link, you can read the entire article, which puts this quote in its proper context.
