Vinegar Fridays

I'm heading out of town for the weekend, but wanted to leave you with a vinegar tidbit. This comes directly out of the book, so if you have the book and have already read it, sorry! And if you haven't bought the book yet, What are you waiting for?!?

Let's talk ACV -- the organic raw unfiltered kind. I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to stick to this kind of apple cider vinegar when you are taking it internally.

ACV, taken daily, can work to detoxify your body. As a blood purifier, acetic acid aggressively chases the bad toxins right out of your system. Bye. Bye.

So, let's assume you want to detoxify. Here's what I suggest: Mix a tablespoon of ACV in an 8-ounce glass of water. Add honey to taste, if you like. Drink at least one of these concoctions daily, preferably before a meal.

I don't like to do it that way, so here is an alternate suggestion: Take a tablespoon of ACV straight and chase it down with 8 or more ounces of water.

Either way, make sure you thoroughly rinse out your mouth when you're done, so the acetic acid doesn't do a number on your tooth enamel.

Once you start this daily routine, expect to feel, and look, let bloated. The ACV will act as a diuretic, but don't worry. It's rich in potassium, so your body will not be depleted of this essential mineral. You'll end up in the bathroom more often, and that's a good thing. It means the detoxification is working.

Bonus: this should rev up your metabolism, attack your belly fat, curb your appetite and give you more energy.
