Petition for safer food

Concerned about food safety? Sign the Food Safety Enhancement Act petition. The problem is, many of the foods our little ones love happen to be on the Top 10 list of foods most likely to cause some type of a food-borne illness. According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, eating the following foods made over 50,000 people sick in the past decade:
  • bean sprouts
  • berries
  • cheese
  • eggs
  • ice cream
  • leafy greens
  • oysters (okay, maybe this one's not on your toddler's favorite foods list!)
  • potatoes
  • tomatoes
  • tuna
It's vital we make our representatives in Congress understand that this is unacceptable and action must be taken.

In the meantime, don't forget to wash your produce and cook your children's food thoroughly!

Keeping it healthy,

Hana
